Who clear aligners work for
Aligners are excellent for the most common adult cases: mild to moderate crowding, gaps, post-braces relapse, and rotated teeth. For severe bite issues or complex skeletal problems, traditional braces or an orthodontic referral may be a better fit — and we'll tell you up front if that's the case.
How treatment works
- Digital scan. No goopy impressions — a quick digital scan of your teeth.
- Treatment plan. You see a 3D simulation of how your teeth will move over time.
- Aligners. Each clear tray moves your teeth a small, calibrated amount. You switch trays every 1–2 weeks.
- Refinement. Most cases finish with a short refinement series to lock in the result.
- Retainers. Lifetime nighttime retainer wear keeps your new alignment stable. This part is non-negotiable.
Combining with whitening or veneers
Many patients align first, then whiten or place veneers — straight teeth take less restorative work and look better when finished. We'll lay out the right sequence at your consultation.
Clear Aligners FAQ
Most adult cases run 6 to 18 months. Minor crowding can sometimes be finished in as little as 3–4 months. Complex bites take longer.
22 hours a day. You take them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush. Compliance is what makes clear aligners work.
